Pupillage
At Harold and Lam Partnership, we welcome pupils who have a desire to excel.
We believe that our pupils are here to hone their skills for their career in law and career at the Firm. Pupils are expected to enhance their communication skills, research skills, planning and organisation as well as commercial awareness throughout the nine-month program. Pupils are given opportunities to assist actively on files and attend court.
Our pupils are mentored by pupil masters who are Partners of the Firm, who will provide them with the necessary guidance throughout their pupillage. Our pupils are not bound by a fixed rotation system and are exposed to different areas of law. We offer our pupils the breath of opportunities to work closely with a team of excellent lawyers in order for them to gain comprehensive understanding of the legal profession and all that it entails.
We also provide internal training for our pupils to enhance legal insights in this industry. In addition, our pupils are strongly encouraged to participate in external training programs such as those organised by the Malaysian Bar Council.
At the end of pupillage, our pupils are assigned to participate in our in-house mooting session, whereby the pupils will be able to apply the skills obtained throughout their pupillage.
We also hire Chambering Pupils with a view of retainment.
