Ooi Hui Ying

Ooi Hui Ying graduated from University of Reading in 2014 with a LL.B (Bachelor of Laws) and was called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in 2015. She thereafter graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a LL.M (Masters in Legal Practice) in 2017 and has written a thesis titled “Gender Discrimination in the Workplace, an Everlasting Issue: A Comparative and Critical Analysis of the Law in Malaysia and Iceland”.
During her days as a university student, Hui Ying had participated in various law-related voluntary work. She was the Student Director of the BPP University Legal Translation Service and a student volunteer in the Taylor’s University Legal Aid Centre.
Prior to joining Messrs Harold & Lam Partnership, Hui Ying worked as an intern for a criminal litigation firm for 5 months.
Hui Ying was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court in 2018, and is part of the Construction & Energy Unit of Messrs. Harold & Lam Partnership.
